TDT 2021 Pilot Episodes

Born out of a desire to support more independent artists in a season where fewer performance opportunities exist, the Toronto Dance Theatre (TDT) launched the Pilot Episodes initiative inviting  Mafa Makhubalo and many other talented artists to participate in this experimental lab. This initiative hopes to open the door to a group of choreographers/creators to have their first experience working on the company ensemble.  

Co-facilitated by choreographer Tedd Robinson and TDT’s Artistic Director Andrew Tay, the project makes space for artistic risk-taking without the pressure of producing finished work. It aims to generate active discussions around working methods and the choreographic process.
